Hulda

Hulda is a native Android companion application for Hulda water-purification systems. It brings product information, filter maintenance, customer support, and everyday engagement into one recognizable mobile experience.

After creating an account, users complete a personalized onboarding flow covering their household, lifestyle, water habits, and installed Hulda system. The resulting profile supports a home experience with local weather, tailored messages, quick access to device information, and practical answers about purified water and system care.

A dedicated machine area explains the selected over-counter, under-counter, or under-base solution and keeps filter replacement visible through a day counter and scheduled reminders. FAQ, feedback, account, privacy, and notification tools provide a direct service channel beyond the physical product.

Architecture

The project uses a feature-oriented Android architecture with a predominantly Jetpack Compose interface and clear presentation, domain, and data responsibilities.

• Presentation layer built with Jetpack Compose, Material components, screen-specific ViewModels, and Navigation Compose.
• Domain layer organized around use cases and repository contracts for account, profile, device, missions, and notifications.
• Data layer combining Retrofit services, Room persistence, preferences, and Firebase-backed services.
• Dependency injection managed with Hilt.
• Asynchronous state handled with Kotlin Coroutines, LiveData, and Compose state.
• Background work supported by WorkManager and local notification scheduling.
